IEEE Societies Leaders Panel Discussion-Involving Students and Young Professionals in IEEE Volunteering Activities, Conferences, and Publications

IEEE continuously seeks volunteers to organize various events and activities. Recruiting new volunteers among student members and young scholars is of top priority as they bring enthusiasm, dynamics, and innovation to the community. Volunteering in turn increases visibility, help gain valuable management and leadership skills, and brings new networking connections.

This forum brings together a panel of IEEE Societies leaders. The speakers will address important topics such as:"Why volunteering?" and "What is the benefit of volunteering?" They will provide examples of volunteering opportunities such as planning meetings, activities, and publications, chairing committees, and holding leadership positions at local and global levels.

Female Scientists Panel Discussion-Inspiring Women in STEM

The Inspiring Women in STEM Forum features a panel of distinguished female faculty in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The audience attending the forum will benefit from the real-world experience of our speakers and networking with professional working women from multiple STEM-related fields. This event is suitable for students and young scholars pursuing a career in STEM, are members of the IEEE Society, or have leadership roles at their institutions or their communities. Speakers will include distinguished STEM female professionals and women in leadership community roles. Topics will address pursuing a STEM career and working in STEM professions. Keynote speakers will share their personal and professional experiences.

EiCs Panel Discussion-How to Publish High-Quality Research Papers in Transactions and Journals

This panel will feature a number of current and former Editors-in-Chief (EiCs) of leading international journals to discuss on how to publish high-quality papers in transactions and journals. The panel members will share their views on various topics on publishing research papers, such as paper submission and review process of IEEE transactions, tips on writing good professional research papers, and preparation and submission of papers to international journals. Participants will also have the opportunities to interact with the panel members and to ask questions related to IEEE transactions directly.
